Bag Distribution by Rise Foundation on the Occasion of Raksha Bandhan & Independence Day

On the joyful occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day, Rise Foundation took another step towards empowering young minds by distributing school bags to the children of Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya, Pashulok, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) on 8th Aug 2025.

Education is the strongest tool to break the cycle of poverty, and having the right resources plays a crucial role in motivating children to attend school and learn with confidence. The bright smiles on the faces of these young students reflected their excitement and happiness as they received their new school bags.

This initiative was not just about giving bags—it was about encouragement, equality, and opportunity. The Rise Foundation team interacted with the children, inspired them to focus on their studies, and assured them of continued support in their educational journey.

On this occasion Mrs Jaswanti Rawat – Chairperson ; Madhuri Varshney – Secretary; Madhukar Varshney – Treasurer, Naveen Mohan – Founder City Birds Rides and Shubh Yatra Travel , Dr. Prateek and Mr. Rishi Agarwal joined .

Celebrating Raksha Bandhan symbolizes protection, care, and love, and what better way to honor this spirit than by investing in the future of our children? Coinciding with Independence Day, the event also reminded us of the importance of freedom through education, empowerment, and awareness.

The Rise Foundation remains committed to creating impactful change through education, environmental action, and community development. Every small step taken today builds a stronger, greener, and more inclusive tomorrow.
