4th IESA Award for Earth Day Hero to RISE Foundation

The 4th India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) awards for the Earth Day Hero Award goes to Madhukar Varshney from RISE Foundation. A Delhi-based NGO is our Earth Day Hero who has done outstanding work to inspire many urban dwellers of northwest India to do their bit for the environment. They adopted the strategy of ‘Miyawaki Plantation’ to turn an urban space in Dwarka, Delhi, into a forest. This had 4,000 individuals and around 250 households be a part of the process to plant and maintain the grove. The Rise Foundation also showcased easy methods to make earthen pot composters at home as repositories that turn kitchen waste into manure as fertilizer for the urban forest developed.

Madhukar Varshney received the award on behalf of whole team of RISE Foundation.

He got inspired by the severe problem of air pollution and waste management issues in the country ,specially in Delhi -NCR. 

So, he pledged on behalf of team to continue work as an Earth Day Hero to do their bit endlessly and unstoppably to save the environment and mother earth.
